Mom Nadya Suleman's babies--Two More Octuplets Released From Hospital
Two More Octuplets Released From Hospital
Two more of Octo Mom Nadya Suleman's babies -- Makai and Jeremiah -- were released from the hospital Thursday, Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center tells Usmagazine.com in a statement.
Meet the octuplets.
The infants weigh in at 5 lbs., 5 ounces each, are bottle feeding and maintaining their body temperatures, the statement reads.
In contrast to the media free-for-all that surrounded the homecoming of their siblings, Makai and Jeremiah's arrival was relatively low-key in comparison. This time, the babies and Suleman arrived at their La Habra, Calif. home from the hospital escorted by ten police cars.
"We didn't want a repeat of the first arrival home. The barrier was just to make sure the media frenzy doesn't happen again. We did that on Saturday also, when two more came home. Tonight we did it again for extra precautions," a spokesperson for the La Habra Police Department tells Us.
Makai and Jeremiah's release comes on the heels of Suleman's dismissal of the non-profit group "Angels in Waiting," which had offered to provide her and the children free medical care. The group’s attorney Gloria Allred has publicly called for Octo Mom's children to be removed from her custody.
