Dane Cook's Brother Held on $1 Million Bail for Stealing Money From Comic

Dane Cook's Brother Held on $1 Million Bail for Stealing Money From Comic

This is no laughing matter: Dane Cook's half brother is being held on $1 million bail on charges that he stole millions of dollars from the comedian.

Darryl McCauley pleaded not guilty to eight counts of larceny over $250, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme, the Associated Press reports. Prosecutors said at Thursday's hearing in Massachusetts that they'll bring additional charges against McCauley in the future.

Prosecutors allege that McCauley, 43, swiped Cook's money while being paid $12,500 per month as his business manager. His attorney Robert Goldstein denies his client took cash without Cook's consent, and said he was instrumental in building Cook's career. Goldstein asked for $100,000 bail.
